The Bond Family

of

Newbury & London

After retirement in 1957, Pete's great aunt Florence Cynthia Bond, spent several years researching the Bond side of our family tree. It stretches back to around 1320! The original text was in poor condition so we word processed it and scanned the sketches. We then had four copies professionally bound which are family heirlooms for ourselves and our children.

The Account is saved below in separate chapters in HTML format. It now includes scans of most of the pencil sketches drawn by Florence Bond which she used to illustrate the original book.

I now have the room to include the book in Word 6/7 format but have had to zip it to save space. Despite this the file is still about 440K long. I have also included a large (220K) GIF file of our family tree, I am working on a GEDCOM version which I will add later.

The book basically contains what is on my pages, but it is indexed and fully formatted with the sketches in position, also there are some extra footnotes. And should print out with the minimum of ajustment. The GIF file is black and white and over 4000 x 3000 pixels, but it does give a much better over-view of the family.

We would love to here from any other members of the family as well! Why not e-mail us?
